Acceptable Use Policy
This policy is an integral part of the Terms of Service. It exists so that some clients' servers do not interfere with others and our network and addresses do not end up on blocklists.
1. Prohibited content
It is prohibited to host, store, or distribute on servers:
- child sexual abuse material, information on how to manufacture or obtain drugs, calls for suicide and violence, materials of terrorist and extremist organizations;
- malware, phishing pages, tools for stealing credentials;
- materials that infringe copyright and other exclusive rights of third parties;
- personal data of third parties obtained or processed unlawfully.
2. Prohibited activities
- Sending spam: emails, messages, and comments without the recipients' consent.
- Port and vulnerability scanning, password brute-forcing, and other unauthorized access to other people's systems without the written permission of their owners.
- Denial-of-service attacks, participation in botnets, hosting botnet command-and-control servers.
- Spoofing IP and MAC addresses, using addresses not assigned to your server.
- Cryptocurrency mining.
- Activities that violate the law of the country where the server is located.
3. Fair use of resources
- The server's CPU cores run on shared hardware. Sustained 100% load on all cores for more than 6 consecutive hours is allowed only on configurations with dedicated cores; in other cases we may limit the share of CPU time and will notify you about it.
- Outgoing mail: port 25 is closed by default. We open it upon a request to support, after a review, for sending email from your own domain with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configured.
- Traffic: volume is not capped, and there is no extra charge for traffic. The first 5 TB of outbound traffic per month is transferred at the port speed of up to 1 Gbit/s; after 5 TB, the outbound speed is reduced to 100 Mbit/s until the start of the next billing period, and the server keeps running. Inbound traffic is not counted. Usage is shown in the client area; the check runs once a day, so the speed is reduced within 24 hours after 5 TB is reached.
- Speed: the server port provides up to 1 Gbit/s at peak; the uplink of the hardware is shared by the servers on it.
4. Server security is the client's responsibility
You administer the server yourself: keep the system updated, use key-based login, close unnecessary ports. We will suspend a compromised server that sends spam or attacks others just as we would a violator's server; we will help you sort it out and restore access once the problem is fixed.
5. How we handle complaints
Complaints are accepted at abuse@froguscloud.ru.
- Ordinary violation (a complaint about content, a single email, an infringement of rights): we forward the complaint to the client and wait 24 hours for a response and resolution. If there is no response, we suspend the server.
- Threat to the network (an attack, mass mailing, malware, scanning): we suspend the server or restrict its network access immediately and inform the client of what happened.
- Request from a government authority: we comply within the time limits set by law and notify the client unless the law prohibits this.
- Repeated or gross violation: we are entitled to terminate the contract unilaterally.
Suspension does not release you from paying for the paid period. We provide access to data on a suspended server upon request, unless this contradicts the law or the requirements of government authorities.
6. Changes to this policy
A new version is published on the website and takes effect 14 days after publication and notification of clients by email. Changes required to comply with the law may take effect immediately.
